The Wine & Spirit Education Trust, known as WSET® , is an international organization that provides training and examinations in wines and spirits.
A first practical approach to the world of wine for beginners. You will learn about the major types and styles of wine through your sight, smell and taste, while developing the basic skills necessary to accurately describe a wine. You will learn the fundamentals of food and wine pairing. Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be presented with a WSET certificate and badge.

This training takes place over a full day. An academic, interactive and fun introduction to the world of wine and oenology. It will allow you to discover the basics of tasting through the systematic approach of WSET tasting, and to introduce you to the language of wine. You will discover the main grape varieties cultivated in the world, the emblematic wine regions, but also the basics of serving and storing wine. Your trainer will also introduce you to the fundamentals of food and wine pairing thanks to the cross tasting accompanied by food. Following this training, you will be able to talk about wine with more confidence.
This training is aimed at beginners and professionals alike who wish to better understand the wine world, tame the oenological language which may seem technical and benefit from an academic certification recognized by wine professionals in France and internationally.
For beginner professionals, you will learn the basic knowledge of grape varieties, regions, food and wine pairings but also wine service. This knowledge is essential to start working in a wine bar, cellar store, but also for a career in a champagne house for example. It will offer you more assurance to be able to respond carefully to the requests of your interlocutors
It will open the doors to level 2 for those who wish to progress in their learning and will allow you to join the prestigious community of the WSET.
